Anche il Topo d’acqua ha una storia da raccontare, quella del giardiniere Hans, convinto che il ricco mugnaio sia suo amico: ma nel momento del bisogno, ad avere la peggio sarà proprio il piccolo, generoso Hans; e poi c’è la storia dell’usignolo e del suo estremo sacrificio in nome dell’amore, e quella del Gigante egoista e del suo meraviglioso giardino... Storie indimenticabili e senza tempo, che ci interrogano sugli ideali di lealtà, compassione e generosità, scritte da Oscar Wilde per i suoi figli e diventate ormai un classico.

Such a heartwarming story. Simple yet so powerful. A tale of friendship and love. It is a bit about dying but much more about being alive.
There is a sadness that permeates all of Oscar Wilde's work...but it is a sadness that helps us find joy with who we are. This story is one of my favorites; a beautiful tale for children.
