Sinossi
Roz Toovey vive in uno dei posti più belli della Gran Bretagna, nel cuore del Lake District. Peccato che, con la fine del suo matrimonio, Roz sia rimasta sola con un figlio da crescere. Il lavoro non va, i debiti iniziano ad accumularsi, è di nuovo in ritardo con l’affitto e inizia a temere di non riuscire più a occuparsi di suo figlio George che, a nove anni, ha bisogno più che mai delle sue attenzioni. Come se non bastasse, di ritorno dal lavoro trova un avviso di sfratto. Le rimangono solo due settimane di tempo per trovare una soluzione o lei e il piccolo George verranno cacciati di casa. Ormai disperata, Roz non sa a chi rivolgersi. Fino al giorno in cui riceve una proposta che potrebbe risolvere ogni suo problema. Alla festa di compleanno della sorella incontra Scott Elias: ricco, influente e assolutamente sposato. Ma Roz sembra aver fatto colpo sull’uomo che, infatti, la rintraccia e le propone di passare una notte con lui, per soldi.
Scott non cerca una relazione, non vuole obblighi e le può garantire la massima discrezione. E Roz, per un momento, pensa che la cosa possa davvero essere facile come sembra. Con i soldi che lui le offre potrebbe saldare tutti i suoi debiti e rimettersi in sesto.
