Hancock put himself to a very hard task here, and pulled it off admirably. He has written a memoir of his life and career, a deep dive into the jazz world, while remaining thoroughly positive throughout. He hasn't a bad word to say about anyone, and he almost completely downplays the drugs, alcohol
