Blue si è sempre tenuta alla larga da loro, ma quando Gansey si presenta alla sua porta in cerca di aiuto, pur riconoscendolo come il ragazzo del destino non può voltargli le spalle. Insieme ad alcuni compagni, Gansey è da molto tempo sulle tracce della salma di Glendower, mitico re gallese il cui corpo è stato trafugato oltreoceano secoli prima e sepolto lungo la "linea di prateria" che attraversa Henrietta. La missione di Gansey non riguarda solo un'antica leggenda, ma è misteriosamente legata alla sua stessa vita. Blue decide di aiutare Gansey nella sua ricerca, lasciandosi coinvolgere in un'avventura che la porterà molto più lontano del previsto.

I've never read something quite like this. I loved how Blue talks with her mom, how Gansey is protective towards the boys, how Noah pats Blue's hair, how Ronan takes care of Chainsaw, how Adam talks to Blue. This book is the definition of found-family trope.
nostalgia has left me a weepy bitch
This is favourite series of all time. I can't even write a review about it, I would just end up copying the entire novel down verbatim and saying, "This is my favourite part. And this part. And that part. And that quote and these characters and all of it and everything forever and always."
