Rosaconfetto è un'elefantina di color grigio: cosa strana per la sua tribù perché tutte le altre elefantine, grazie a una dieta a base di anemoni e peonie, hanno il manto di un bel rosa brillante e grandi occhi languidi. Ma a Rosaconfetto anemoni e peonie non piacciono proprio, e poi non ci tiene affatto ad essere tutta rosa! Vorrebbe invece scorrazzare nel verde e fare il bagno nel fiume come fanno gli elefantini maschi, liberi di mangiare ciò che vogliono e dal manto grigio... proprio come lei. Quando Rosaconfetto ottiene il permesso di lasciar perdere la dieta e andare a giocare con i maschi, alle altre elefantine, inizialmente impaurite e titubanti, basterà un attimo per rendersi conto che essere belle è senza dubbio meno divertente che giocare in libertà e, una dopo l'altra... torneranno grigie e felici!
