This was a useful starting place for my family as we plan a trip to the southwest next spring. Amazing color photos. Includes a pull-out map. Lots of info-graphics. maps and lovely photos but not a lot of information. For example the city of St George, the main gateway city to the big National Park's has only one entry.

Typical DK book- fun to look at glossy pictures and read captions and headings for quick overview of areas.
This book provided the inspiration for our vacation. Very informative. Plan to take it on our trip. Worth giving up the space in my luggage.
