Non è un saggio, è un susseguirsi di riflessioni, a volte anche abbastanza scontate, senza nessuna impalcatura argomentativa. L'editing è terribile.

A terrific read. The author tackles many aspects of darkness superbly. The flow is timely and the writing is well sourced. The mix of history, art, poetry, science, and quotes helps shape a fascinating look at how light shapes us. This was captivating from start to finish. A must read.

Una stella in più per l'oggetto libro che è semplicemente meraviglioso nell'edizione il Saggiatore. Per il resto è una storia veloce, chiara, uno scorrere di immagini a tema. Bello ma non sempre soddisfacente.

Interessante e a tratti sorprendente viaggio nell’immaginario collettivo legato al buio.
