I loved this even more than the first book! This is middle grade at its best. I love all the different magic. The characters are fantastic. It's about friendship and working together. So heartwarming! Thank you to Net Galley for the e-arc.

Such a wonderful story, everything from the world to the writing is spellbindingly beautiful. An excellent follow-up to the last one, both are well worth a read, regardless of your age.

I enjoyed this, but there were also parts that frustrated me immensely. For one, the cast of characters was way too big (I did not care about any characters outside of Cordelia, Goose and Sam), and Witloof was nothing more than a comical villain with sketchy reasons for being evil.
