I have to say... this is not the strongest volume in the series. In fact, this series could have done without this installment, IMHO. Some parts are pretty solid, and I can understand why the mother did what she did, but that doesn't mean that Tezuka should have written it. Nonetheless, it's part of Leggi tutto
Me siguen gustando más otros arcos anteriores de Fénix, pero Nostalgia también es bueno. Se tratan temas trascendentales y el desarrollo durante cientos de años es apabullante.
Incest! Cannibalism! Aliens called moopies? A spacecraft made out of... a big old rock? Really? How could this possibly be a decent book. Well, it is decent, and even great. And beautiful. This one was rather odd overall. I'm not sure if there was a cohesive theme and it starts out with some rather taboo/unsavory practices being used to survive. There is an explanation of the Phoenix herself and what her part is in the Cosmic scheme of things, though.
For me,"Phoenix, Vol. 6: Nostalgia" fluctuates between 'I don't like it' and 'It's okay.' The first 130 pages kill the book for me.
