La piccola cittadina di Bridgton, Maine, viene improvvisamente avvolta da una fitta nebbia. Iniziano così ad accadere cose strane: creature bizzarre e pericolose si aggirano non viste per le strade, facendo scomparire alcuni degli abitanti. Il supermercato, che inizialmente appare come l'unico luogo di salvezza, si rivela una pericolosa prigione. Le persone che hanno cercato riparo lì, infatti, non sono minacciate soltanto dai mostri nascosti nella nebbia, ma anche dalla follia che il terrore claustrofobico fa nascere tra i rifugiati. for such a short read, it’s packed in the way king’s stuff typically is. some concepts are dated (namely the unnecessary affair), but the imagery and stakes are still super eerie. probably a 2.5 but i love stephen so i’ll round it up
