In certi casi ci vogliono proprio tutto l’amore e tutta la professionalità del mondo per riuscire a essere la persona che fa la differenza nella vita disastrata di un’adolescente come Eloise, e Torey Hayden, senza mai scoraggiarsi, accoglie questa nuova sfida, sapendo che lottare al fianco di ogni singolo bambino o ragazzo significa contribuire a rendere il mondo un posto migliore in cui vivere.

I've liked Torey Hayden's books since I was a kid. I'm delighted that she's writing again, after taking a break for a few decades. Read it in one sitting Always move me. Always make me cry. Hit home hard in my heart as I am “the child”. Relate too closely to so many of the feelings and stories especially this one. Not her best Although it's a good story, I didn't feel the magic was captured quite as much as in Toreys other books.
I read my first Torey Hayden book when I was 15, and it is because of her that I became a Social Worker. I wanted to do what she did.
