Salve, ragazzi! Chi vi parla è Sphinxor, dal sistema stellare Pegasus. A quanto pare alcuni di voi non sanno chi sia Adam Warlock... Vergogna! Beh, zio Stan mi ha chiesto di aggiornarvi. Tanto per cominciare, che ci crediate o no, Adam Warlock è nato proprio qui, sulla Terra. Anche se non è effettivamente nato... come è accaduto a tutti voi! In realtà il suo luogo di nascita è un lontano e sofisticatissimo laboratorio di ricerca, "l'Alveare". Scopo del laboratorio era creare il perfetto uomo del futuro! Si potrebbe quindi dire che i quattro a capo del progetto siano stati i padri di Warlock... Peccato che costoro fossero delle vere canaglie! Avevano creato Adam solo perché conquistasse la Terra per loro! E la madre? Potremmo dire che fu il bozzolo da cui uscì. Al tempo era proprio come un bambino... ma che bambino! Venne al mondo dotato della potenza di una bomba atomica e della capacità di scrutare nell'anima degli uomini. E ciò che vide in quella dei suoi pseudo-genitori non gli piacque affatto! La sua mente infantile gli disse di risolvere la situazione nell'unico modo che trovava concepibile: distruggendo il laboratorio, padri compresi. In seguito Warlock vagò nello spazio, dove incontrò strani esseri, vide cose meravigliose e apprese preziose lezioni.

This was great. I read a lot of this material when I was younger, and I just didn't get it. Now, however, I was able to make more sense of it. In the early days of Marvel's Essential volumes series, the newsprint paper was really dark and grainy, and the reproductions were second rate at best. I'm happy to report that things have changed for the better, and the Warlock volume (which I would say is truly essential) looks a lot better, and in Leggi tutto
