Sinossi

As an investigative piece of true crime writing it is exhaustive and covers every aspect of a horrifying and ver Leggi tutto
4.5 stars. Perhaps a little long-winded but so meticulously researched and well-handled.
"Fear often begins with the slightest niggle that something taken for granted can no longer be trusted". And Never Let Her Go: Thomas Capano: The Deadly Seducer by Ann Rule I had to DNF this one. Not because it was not well written. Rule was a fantastic writer and I have read so many of her books. But Leggi tutto
So many people in the true crime world are always saying she was the best but definitely not agreeing with them on this book. She is so biased it gets annoying. She is constantly making up excuses for some as if her readers do not have a mind of their own we are being force fed. This is one older st Leggi tutto
while i've never read a true crime book before, i don't think i like this type of book. there was way too much detail and it took forever to actually get into the story line. the first part of the book describe the characters ancestors. i don't see a point in reading about a person's grandparents, i Leggi tutto
One of the things that reading Man-Apes or Ape-Men?: The Story of Discoveries in Africa reminded me of is how important taxonomy is. The way human beings are wired means that (1) it's hard for us to talk about things we don't have names for and (2) we understand the world by categorization and compa Leggi tutto
