This has honestly 100% been on my "To Read" shelf here on Goodreads for nine years. Siobhan Dowd tragically passed away in 2007. Solace of the Road was an o.k. read. It wasn't one that drew me in, cover to cover, in one sitting. I wonder if Siobhan wrote this based on someone she knew.
