While I like the you-read, I-read format, I wonder if this could use text features more to help new readers figure out words and meaning. I also went into this expecting it to be about frogs & tadpoles, but this is about all different types of animals and their development.

Spiffy book all about life cycles. Baby mammals tend to look like miniature adults, but other critters... not so much. This book does a great job of explaining several different stages of growth, and uses matching games to help drive the point home to young readers.

More about the life cycle of common animals than specifically frogs.

Maddie liked learning about tadpoles. Kait’s favourite part was the questions for the reader at the ends of chapters.
