Come sarebbe, si domanda Philip Dick, un mondo nato dalla vittoria dell'Asse nella Seconda guerra mondiale? Chi governerebbe il Reich? Cambierebbe qualcosa? Oltre all'I Ching, c'è un altro libro che ossessiona i protagonisti: il romanzo proibito La locusta si trascinerà a stento, dove si narra di un mondo nel quale gli Alleati hanno vinto la guerra. Il suo misterioso autore, si dice, vive nascosto in una fortezza... Vincitore del Premio Hugo nel 1963, L'uomo nell'alto castello (noto anche come La svastica sul sole) è un'elettrizzante riflessione sulla storia, il potere, la libertà, la realtà e la sua creazione.

Dick, did you really just wasted a perfect plot by endlessly driveling about pseudo philosophical deeper meaning of art while being unable to establish other plotlines, any major action, suspense, believable characters with comprehensible motivations to let the mess culminate, again, in just ending
