Attento alla dimensione religiosa, Erodoto la coniuga con un senso acuto della relatività dei fenomeni umani: pur accogliendo fatti mitici o leggendari, egli rifiuta l’interpretazione mitica della storia e fonda il suo racconto – che si avvale di uno stile semplice ed efficace – sull’analisi critica sorretta da una passione investigativa laica e razionale.
