Three short campfire type stories for children. Pleasant enough winter reading.

I own number 41. :) Fantastic find from when I lived in New Orleans. Found in a bookshop near the quarter. (Since I’m from MS, it’s also just incredibly interesting to have/reread).

Containing three ghost stores, "Judith," "The Werewolf," and "The Hound," this book was amazing. My 8 year old daughter brought this book home from the library and, given its subject matter, I felt obliged to read it for myself. It is a short collection of ghost stories told to children by the great William Faulkner on the grounds of his Oxford, Mississippi, home, Rowan Oak.

Amusing, light. I wish it had been Faulkner's writing of the stories, not his granddaughter's remembrance of those stories.
