Picked this one up because I trusted the publisher and the jacket, which was a very good move, since it turned out to be one of the most witty and enjoyable mysteries I have read in quite some time. This is one I particularly remember from the tv series, so I can't say if the revelation of the murder would have surprised me; that's not really the point of these books though, the point is the writing and the feeling, which is really similar to the Golden Age mystery writers.
