This book is fabulous. Other authors have written more exhaustive books about Bosch's life. Other authors have written more detailed books about individual works. Other authors have written books about the era, or about Roman Catholicism, or about other pertinent topics. Fischer gleans the best from Leggi tutto
this book not only increased my love for Bosch, but for art in general. i really enjoyed taking my time with this book, losing myself in the interesting facts and details.
Another awesome coffee table book that is worth the money and the weight like the Caravaggio one - had it for a while too but finished it only recently (in so far one can say a book like this which is to be admired from time to time is finished to be read) in tandem with the historical stuff I have
