Actual rating 4.8 stars. I love this art. How it flows between the classic simple manga style to the beautifully detailed splash pages. Such a weird volume. The first half was the fight between All Might and All For One, and it was kinda meh. I don't think Horikoshi is at the level where he can write these big showdowns convincingly. The action is jumbled, the dialogue is confusing and usually pointless, and the pathos level is so o Leggi tutto

The higher the stakes in this manga get, the lower goes my interest and attention. Epic battles with the greatest hero and the greatest villain around? Ehh. The fight itself was all right and I could feel just how much greater these two were than anyone else anywhere, but on the whole it was just pe Leggi tutto

Next up the greatest hero fights the greatest villain. Horikoshit hyped them up as much as he could, making it clear they are the power ceiling of the story. Although it was epic as a fight, it created 2 issues. First, it once again proved the villains are not threatening, since despite All for One

Showdown done, the real weight settles in. The number one hero is kaput. The villains now have a free playing field and no one is ready to take on the mantle of Main Protector. But honestly?
