Well I am afraid this was nothing like I had hoped it would be ! Gripping ? Emotional ? Unexpected twists ? Nope, sorry, it was a decent family saga type book , nothing more in my view. This book wasn't gripping, or a page-turner, it was tedious. I kept going because it promised "a twist that would take (my) breath away" but I'm still not sure what the twist was.
