Sinossi

Recensioni
When reading this book you get the feeling the brief was interpreted differently depending upon the writer. Jurgen Muller is editing two types of "reviews". One set of reviews delves into the social history of the film in question. It focuses on themes, motivations and discoveries. The other set of
Glossy is the word here, large book with lots of good pics to give you the flavor of the film. The 100 or so selections lean toward the artsy side, but plenty of mainstream favorites. It would be great book to fill time on a plane if you could handle carrying the weight, 712pages.

I love this series of books. The writing is little more than fluff, but the layout and liberal use of film stills and period specific quotes make it a handsome chunk of publishing.
the 70s-90s books are all excellent reference books for movies, from taschen
