Not best Peter David's storyline ever, but Land's artworks were good and the parts about Felicia having a chat with aunt May and the Tim Burton's Batman easter-egg were five stars ones for me. 'Nuff said.
I keep forgetting to swerve Marvel's Limited serials. Despite Peter David writing it, and big event artist Greg Land drawing it, this supposed untold story of Spidey weeks after getting his black suit, falling afoul of Mysterio is essentially pants. 3.5 out of 12.
This is quite a good mini-series. Peter David brings back the slimmer back suit Peter he get during the original Secret War event. The art is amazing for a spiderman book but the story is lack of emotion and guilt punchline we get on old spiderman comic.
Who doesn’t love a flashback? Set during the original Alien Costume Saga, Symbiote Spider-Man tells a tale of Spider-Man, Mysterio, and the Black Cat that has never seen the light of day. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really explain why it’s being told now other than…just cuz? Writer Peter David drops hi Leggi tutto
4.2 stars. A nice well written contained story. Black Cat and Mysterio join the fun. Def recommend checking it out. See the single issues for more of my thoughts.
This was fun! A nice surprise. Basically Peter David goes back in time when Young Peter Parker was in his devilious Black suit whooping butt and taking names. Also screwing Black Cat, because DAMN, she is fine. So in doing so we have a story that focuses mostly on Quinn (Mysterio) as he wants his re Leggi tutto
Great story and artwork! I love that it doesn't have to do with the current life events of Spidey, but it adds to the continuity from a period of time in his past. Great story, fun, and really makes the symbiote more alive than before.
A fun little romp with some amazing art. It isn’t perfect, but I had a blast. Ended way too soon. (And wtf is with the toilet paper quality of the binding for the graphic novel. Cmon Marvel, don’t be a cheapskate. It’s not my fault nobody buys comics anymore).
