A fitting ending to a brilliant series. If I had time, it would be good to reread all seven of the previous books, however, this book doesn’t really require that, and yes, for me it answered my questions about who Pa Salt was and why he did the things he did. Sure it’s fiction. It’s a modern fairytale. But oh, boy is it badly written. Shallow characters, unrealistic dialogue, an often ridiculous storyline. Pa Salt’s story is a disappointment. After some time, I decided to read the book once again. I purchased a physical copy of the book and read it from cover to cover. It turned out to be a true page-turner.
