I smacked my head on a low hanging light fitting earlier so am particularly grumpy, but here's what irked me about this book: Whining protagonist, too anxious (and irritating) to function. This started out so strong, it was well paced and suspenseful... then it took a turn and got seriously weird and ridiculous.
