I really loved the text of this book and the pictures are darling, but I am annoyed that Sally has a long list of items to purchase and a basket that could hold only one of them at a time. Well, first, this book is about a little girl named Sally, so how bad could it be? Charming story and illustrations, and I really liked the lift-the-flaps.

Sally is heading to the High Street with a list of things that she needs. It is presented in a fun, interactive way which really engaged me as a reader and so would definitely do the same for children. The flaps were like opening the doors to the shops. Eine schöne Progression, schön gestaltete Häuser und ein netter Twist am Schluss, aber am Ende in seinen Reimen und seiner fehlenden Logik (wo sind die Einkäufe zwischendurch? Das Kind war sehr verwirrt) doch nicht so überzeugend wie nach Tipp erwartet.
