This is my second read of this, often referred to as a coda to Wolfe's Book of the New Sun rather than a true fifth volume, and I enjoyed it far more this time. I still think that it isn't quite up to the same level of magnificence as those books, but it is a different creature and great in its own

So this had a lot of stuff that was really good. Incredible settings, fantastic scenes, great stuff for Severian's character. But also, even more so than most of BotNS there were so many scenes were I was completely lost, and not in a I can get what is going on on the surface but am obviously missing Leggi tutto
