Sinossi

"Babbitt" (1922) è il ritratto dell'americano medio con i suoi mutevoli umori, il suo conformismo, la sua noia, i suoi vani tentativi di evasione. Agente immobiliare, imbevuto di ogni mediocrità borghese, un po' alla volta inizia a uscire dalla monotona vita che conduce, una vita tutta al servizio degli affari e dell'efficienza, tutta chiesa presbiteriana e famiglia per vivere strane avventure.
