Nato nel 1937 in una piccola città nel Nord dell’Inghilterra, David Hockney ha dovuto lottare per affermarsi come artista. Dopo aver lasciato la sua casa a Bradford per il Royal College of Art di Londra, la sua carriera conosce un’impennata. Fascinating story about the life of Hockney though the writing style reminds me of one telling a story to a child. This isn’t a bad thing, and is probably partly the result of the book being written originally in French. There is however a simplicity to the writing and the explanative style.
