Funny, heart-warming and feminist- what a brilliant children's book! Perfect for any child, regardless of gender, but I particularly recommend it for girls (Charlie is a wonderful role model) and animal lovers. This a lovely book for any horse mad child, whilst the plot is predictable it is wholesome and lovely, entertaining read.
Really enjoyed reading this heart warming story to my 8 year old daughter. Charlie, a ten year old girl is a wonderfully inspiring main character. Add in some fart humour - not that that's a big part of the book - and it's a winner for me and my daughter. Looking forward to the next book, Clare.
