Very good overview of an integrated view of emotions, (emotive) consciousness and underlying neurophysiological functions. I feel it complements Damasio well. Wowza! I felt like I was reading a textbook. Definitely hard to follow at times and hard to get through.
This is a good book, although some of the more technical descriptions were challenging. Whether any of this is dated, I can't say. I would not have reached for it if I did not have due to work. And it turned out to be fascinating.
One of the few occasions I could not bear a full read through. I usually like neuro studies. The information has value. I just dont care. Moving on. 70% read through.
