Sinossi

It is vast in volume and mass but does not stretch to infinity, and no time or space, not even emptiness, exists beyond it. So, there are no multiple universes (the multiverse) i Leggi tutto

Having finally gotten around to reading something by Aristotle, I can say I enjoyed this book as far as I was able to. However, listening to it on audio was not the best way to go because I struggle to follow what's being said when reading on that medium if the content is particularly abstract in na Leggi tutto

Really interesting as this was the basis for Dante's Paradise (and was basically what every Christian believed).
On the Heavens by Aristotle translated into English by j. L. Stocks is the second part of his physical treatises. This book deals with how objects interact with the world including how the heavens are formed. The book starts but a discussion of movement which is inaccurate and leads to many of the o Leggi tutto
Ok book. Aristotle starts by checking natural (or not) movements. Criticizing Anaxagoras as usual. He examines the infinite, if it's possible to exist, after it the check goes to the universe, and if it's infinite or not, and concomitantly destructible or not. There is a confrontation against Plato u Leggi tutto
