A che cosa somiglia il sogno? Fin dall'antica domanda di Aristotele, possiamo inquadrare il paesaggio onirico solo per analogie, paragoni, metafore. Oppure, come ci suggerisce James Hillman in questo percorso sconcertante e provocatorio, possiamo accedervi lasciandoci alle spalle ogni tentativo di razionalizzarlo e di tradurlo nel linguaggio diurno, come era avvenuto, seppure con metodi opposti, nel caso di Freud e di Jung. La soluzione, per Hillman, consiste invece nel tornare alla mitologia come a una vera e propria "psicologia dell'antichità" e a una lettura del sogno come dimensione del "mondo infero", in quanto invisibilmente intrecciato a quello superno.

I'd forgotten to add this until I saw it here as a recommendation. I had a little trouble with this book when I read it.
