Tracy è una problematica bambina di dieci anni. Dopo anni di istituti e famiglie inadeguate viene adottata da Cam, una donna creativa e anticonformista, che ha lottato per potersi occupare di lei. Eppure, le cose non vanno per il verso giusto: Cam si rifiuta di comperarle vestiti firmati e di riempirla di soldi.
