In questo volume gli autori propongono una riformulazione radicale del concetto tradizionale di apprendimento. La loro teoria dell'apprendimento situato, infatti, è basata su un modo assolutamente nuovo di concepire l'apprendimento, non più come una mera ricezione di informazioni, ma come un processo attivo che avviene all'interno di una cornice partecipativa. Secondo questa rivoluzionaria teoria le persone-che-imparano partecipano sia ai contesti del loro apprendimento sia al mondo sociale più ampio in cui questi contesti si producono; senza tale partecipazione non c'è apprendimento, e là dove una persona continua a partecipare in modo adeguato ci sarà apprendimento.

Super short but densely written. Reading about communities of practice (in detail) makes me rethink so many learning experiences I've had. Interesting both academically and for everyday life.
It is a great book and a fascinating theory. However, the book is pretty hard to read. Lave’s other books like “cognition in practice” are less difficult, but also less theoretical.
