The series combines history, mythology, and some author's liberties with both, but the series is addictive to read. Just read it as fiction, and it's a fun and easy read.
When I was in highschool, my grandmother bought me this book because I told her once that I loved Ancient Egyptian History (Tombs, Pyramids, Pharaohs and the like). Well, I did!
