Dopo mesi di lavoro su una piattaforma petrolifera, Hap Collins è tornato a casa, determinato a cambiare vita. L'amico di sempre, Leonard Pine, è invece intristito per la fine della sua relazione con l'amato Raul. I guai veri e propri cominciano subito dopo. Un biker locale è trovato morto e Leonard pare coinvolto nell'omicidio. Tanto per non smentirsi, gli sbirri brancolano nel buio. Infine, ci sarebbe da chiarire la posizione di King Arthur, il re del chili, che pare coinvolto in un mare di attività, lecite o illecite. Se poi a qualcuno venisse in mente che in una storia del genere manca solo un tornado da Guinness dei primati, be', gli diremmo che è sulla buona strada.

4 Stars for Bad Chili: Hap and Leonard, Book 4 (audiobook) by Joe R. Lansdale read by Phil Gigante. This was a crazy roller coaster of irreverent humor and wonderfully crazy characters. The author has a gift for coming up with bizarre situations in the most deadpan way.
