Una donna, insegnante di liceo sulla quarantina, cerca un po' di conforto, dopo che il marito ha abbandonato lei e suo figlio. Tramite un sito internet per divorziati conosce Ghil, piacente avvocato, e intreccia con lui una relazione. Un'altra donna, una badante lettone immigrata in Israele, cerca una casa e anche un segno da parte di Dio, che le dica se è sulla buona strada. Anche lei, come la prima donna, fa la conoscenza di Ghil, a cui si rivolge per una consulenza sul permesso di soggiorno. Una terza donna cerca qualcosa di completamente diverso. Si chiama Ella ed è la giovane madre di tre bambine piccole alla ricerca di una fuga dalla soffocante realtà domestica. Incontra Ghil in un bar. Tutte e tre trovano lo stesso uomo. Sono molte le cose che non sanno di lui, poiché l'uomo non dice la verità. Ma anche lui non sa tutto di loro.
