Sinossi
Il matrimonio di Edith e Bruce è noioso e vuoto. Edith, donna intelligente e ricca di fascino, obbedisce ai dettami sociali dell’inizio del Novecento e finge quindi di essere fatua e sciocca per dare così al marito il ruolo che "gli compete". Con l’arrivo della Prima guerra mondiale, Bruce, ipocondriaco da sempre, adduce gravi problemi di cuore per non andare al fronte. Chi invece in guerra è andato ed è tornato ferito è Aylmer Ross, l’uomo cui Edith aveva rinunciato per non turbare l’equilibrio del proprio matrimonio e il destino dei suoi figli. Edith e Aylmer cominciano a frequentarsi di nuovo, anche se con grande cautela…

More than 100 years old and funny and fun and fascinating!
Three years have passed since Bruce and Edith's marriage was in danger of collapse. Thanks to Edith's forgiving and patient ways they have put their difficulties behind them and their lives seem on in good period after First World War xD.
