This was a bit slow for me. I liked the relationship of the older man and the protagonist and enjoyed some of the world building .The narrator sounds younger than 11 and the adult not finding out the truth about the accident didn’t make sense except to force the tension in the plot. This may be my favorite Jennifer L. Holm book. Although the book takes place entirely on Mars, it feels believable and realistic.
