In una fredda giornata di dicembre un corpo viene ritrovato nei boschi ai piedi di un laghetto ghiacciato. Si tratta di Joy Enright, un'adolescente del posto. This was an interesting read for me. I found myself putting this one down and picking up other books, not because it was boring, but because it allowed me to do so. Really enjoyed this tense and cleverly twisted psychological thriller - the multiple viewpoint works extraordinarily well in this story, with a range of people affected by the death of Joy Enright giving us the hints and clues that will ultimately reveal the truth about what happened. Some good nuggets about race, but overall a jumble of too many perspectives and WAY too many characters. The author’s attention to detail is disorienting; wondered if this was intentional, to throw me off the track, or just overkill.
