Sinossi

It's ably (and non-instrusively) edited by Chesterton Society president Dale Ahlquist, and is nicely printed by Dover. Chesterton had a lot to say about Shakespea Leggi tutto
Seriously one of the wittiest, most thoughtful and entertaining books I've read in awhile. Can't wait to finish G.K Chesterton's other essays (contained in this book) once I'm able to check it out from the Library again. Highly recommend to anyone who wants their love of Shakespeare rekindled ❤
"The only test that can be adequately suggested of a critic's work on a masterpiece is whether it freshens it or makes it stale, whether, like the inferior appreciation, it sends us to our hundredth reading of the work, or whether, like the higher appreciation, it sends us to our first reading of it Leggi tutto
