Exciting because I was there! I'd gone to these battles sites an d seen the castles of Wales last year. Oh I love to read this stuff too. (Historical fiction of course). If you've gotten this far in the series you know the pattern. Uhtred threatens priests, leaves Wessex in a tizzy, returns to save the day because of Ethelred, priests proclaim it's the nailed god, Uhtred does a facepalm. These are an easy read and guilty pleasure.

Another solid entry in this great series. The ending was awesome and some of the newer, younger characters are really starting to shine too.
