L'ispettore Gunnar Barbarotti non è più lo stesso. I am so torn about how to write this review… It’s a strange one to review for me. Nordic noir at it's best from one of my favourite authors. This is the last in the series to feature Inspector Barbarotti and this author has definitely saved the best for last. Enjoyable story albeit a slightly disappointing end to a good series. As is Hakan Nesser’s style much of the story is introspective, with his character’s thoughts developing the plot as much as dialogue. I enjoyed this. I liked the easy-going relationship between Barbarotti and Eva. The mystery was intriguing enough. A little bit weird that 2 of the characters heard voices ....
