The cover, the title and the blurb all conspired to draw me towards this book. It even had some great reviews. And it is one of my favourite genres - Scandi noir. But, blimey, it was hard work! Un caso di Barbarotti che prende fin dalle prime pagine. Un cold case riaperto per il ritrovamento di un corpo che richiama un caso irrisolto di 35 anni prima. Si scava tra interrogatori, nelle vite dei sei protagonisti e nella mente di Barbarotti. Ben scritto e interessante.
The Lonely Ones is as much psychology as it is crime mystery. I really enjoyed it. Dieser Krimi hat einen interessanten Schreibstil. Es hat zwar etwas gedauert bis ich drin war, aber dann hat es sich gut lesen lassen. Die Handlung war krass. Echt, mehr mag ich gar nicht dazu sagen. I read so many crime novels that I am always thrilled when I find a fully original take, in this case the fact that we don’t know for sure whether there IS a crime until the final few pages.
