Sinossi

I've read a few books in Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt Series, which I enjoyed. The Pharaoh's Secret is the first novel I've read in The NUMA Files Series and it is also the no 13 in the series. The main characters in this series, Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala were introduced in the Dirk Pitt Series. The two Leggi tutto
Author Clive Cussler never fails to deliver a fast paced, action packed, fanciful plot, full of nasty, ruthless villains. Am I the only one who feels his books are getting churned out rather than written? Is quantity over quality that important? I keep reading each new Clive Cussler novel with high hopes and end up being disappointed with the quality of writing. Throw in a multitude of dangerous situations, add a chara Leggi tutto
As usual, Clive Cussler delivers an outstanding action/adventure yarn. It's easy to see why his books continue to be bestsellers. The only downside was there were occasional profanities and a few unnecessary moments.
If you enjoy the thriller/adventure genre, Clive Cussler' s NUMA series is a must read! This installment grabs the reader at the start and doesn't let go till the end. Very enjoyable and entertaining read!
My personal opinion - Cusslers collaborations do not reach the same heights as his individual novels. It appears to me that the writing does not flow as seamlessly as in previous novels and the wisecracking between Dirk and Joe is forced as opposed to what you would expect between two old friends. While I've always enjoyed Mr. Cussler's books, after exploring a variety of other authors I've added another reason in his favor. There is no foul language in Cussler's books, and the characters manage to express their frustrations through humor. History has never been my favorite subject but Cussle Leggi tutto
A return to form for Clive Cussler, well supported by Graham Brown, a fine thriller author in his own right. Great settings, lots of thrills and spills, and some fab one-liners. Loved Kurt and Joe.
Another intense & exciting adventure for the NUMA characters!
Interesting, but not a thriller This is the first Clive Cussler 'brand' book I've read. I had expected top notch adventure, action, intrigue, and twists. What I got was just a story with characters that I weren't really invested in.
